Dr. Abbie Goldberg created this website for parents and teachers who want to make schools more inclusive of LGBTQ+ parent and other diverse families. A clinical psychologist and professor of psychology at Clark University, she developed the resources and tools that you will find here based on over 20 years of research with diverse families.  Dr. Goldberg is the author of over 130 peer-reviewed journal articles and three books: Lesbian- and Gay-Parent Families (APA, 2010), Gay Dads (NYU Press, 2012), and Open Adoption in Diverse Families (Oxford, 2020). She is also the co-editor of four books, including LGBTQ Parent Families (Springer, 2013, 2020) and the SAGE Encyclopedia of Trans Studies (SAGE, 2021). She has spoken to school administrators, teachers, social workers, LGBTQ+ parents, and many other groups about how to create more inclusive learning environments for LGBTQ+ parent families and other diverse families.
